Forget about waiting for surveyors to begin grading. The job design is directly uploaded into the System V control box. The System V received machine positioning signals from the radio antenna, GPS receiver, and the blade mounted GPS antenna, and the cross slope sensor. It continuously compares the actual machine and blade position to the job design. The calculated corrections are sent to the machine hydraulics, creating the fully automatic grading of your job site. The operator simply controls the machine direction and speed and the Topcon 3D-GPS+ system creates the finish grade.

With Topcon's 3D-GPS+ machine control system, an operator knows where he is on the jobsite and how far away the cutting edge of his machine is from final grade. One GPS and receiver needs to be placed over a known point and through a radio link, the base station continuously transmits correction signals to the GPS and receiver on the machine; allowing it to calculate the machines exact position and accurately control the grading on your jobsite to within 0.1 ft. or less.
